---+++ Web DAV access via Nautilus Nautilus can access Web DAV natively. Nautilus can be started either from the Gnome menu (File Browser) or the command line: =# nautilus= From the Nautilus windows File menu you can select Connect to Server, this will bring up a dialog box. Select/enter the following: =Service Type: Secure Web DAV (HTTPS)= =Server: dfs.cern.ch= =Folder: dfs/Users/INITIAL/USERNAME/= The authentication window will then open and you should supply your CERN NICE username and password to access the DFS Web DAV gateway (your credentials can be cached for subsequent use). After authentication you will be able to browse the CERN dfs tree and also perform usual filemanager operations (delete, copy. move ... etc) between your local/AFS filesystem and the dfs one. An icon that can be used as a shortcut to your dfs space will be placed on your desktop. *PLEASE NOTE*: ALWAYS use Secure Webdav to assure encryption of transfered data (Web DAV over https will be used). -- Main.ThiagoTomei - 18 Sep 2007
